According to new research from the University of Oregon two glasses of wine a day seem to have a positive effect on the bone-wasting disease Osteoporosis. The results, based on a study of 40 women in their 50ies, showed that bone mass in women drinking wine was reduced as little as in women on medication.
In a similar study conducted by the University of East Anglia and Kings College London experts found that wine drinkers had higher bone density in the spine and the hip than non-drinkers, or those that preferred other types of alcohol.
